The T. Eaton Company, Limited (Eaton's) was a major Canadian department store chain founded in 1869 in Toronto by Irish immigrant Timothy Eaton. It operated for 130 years before going bankrupt and closing all its stores on October 17, 1999.
The company sold Canadian-made phonographs under its own brand names. Its major brand was Amphion but for a short period between 1921 and 1923 the company also advertised Lyra phonographs.
