The Operaphone was manufactured by the Starr Company of Canada, London, Ontario.
The first advertisement that we have for the Made-in-Canada Operaphone, courtesy of Norman Brooks, is an invitation by Canadian Mail Order House, London, Ontario to receive full particulars of the big money-saving offer on a high-grade "Operaphone" (The Farmers Advocate), September 16, 1915, p. 1494.
For three days in 1918 - October 9, 10, 11 - LePage Individual Communion Cup Co, 2382 Dundas Street West, Toronto advertised The Operaphone, "a high grade gramophone direct from factory to consumer", in the Toronto Daily Star and The Globe newspapers.
