Fromsona


The Fromsona phonograph was manufactured by Fromson Co. of Canada, Ltd., 1221 Clarke St., Montreal (later 1620 Clarke Street).

Canadian Woodworker and Furniture Manufacturer, January 1921, p. 140: "Fromson Company of Canada, Limited, Montreal, were recently granted a federal charter to manufacture and deal in gramophones and cabinets. Capital, $100,000. P. Bercovitch, K.C., and R. L. Calder, both of Montreal, are two of the incorporators."

Talking Machine World, February 1921, p. 121: "The incorporation of the Fromson Co. of Canada, Ltd., is announced with a capital stock of $100,000, the chief place of business to be in Montreal. This company is the maker of the 'Fromsona' phonograph."
